Ezekiel, the hero who led the king’s army to victory in the “War of Roses.”
Threatened by Achenaus, the eldest son of the Valdemaera family, because of her parents’ sins, the maid Rose (Lizan) is forced to make the terrible choice of robbing him of his sight.

Having lost his vision, Ezekiel shuts himself away in a northern villa, drowning in medicine and alcohol, living only with the burning desire for revenge against the maid who blinded him.
When Rose discovers his whereabouts, she secretly enters his mansion as a maid to atone for her sins. She endures his violent outbursts with patience and devotion, supporting him tirelessly.
