After a long, exhausting night, Milton returns home to find a seemingly lifeless stranger on his doorstep. He takes the stranger in, offering his bed while he sleeps on the couch. But when he's suddenly awakened by the sound of glass breaking, his fragile sense of reality begins to crumble. The stranger, now inexplicably rummaging through Milton’s kitchen, reveals strange and unsettling features: wings, a tail, and horns. Though initially dismissing it as a trick of his sleep-deprived mind, Milton soon realizes the truth—this is no ordinary person.
As he tends to a wound on the stranger’s body, fear rises within him as he becomes aware of the creature's predatory gaze. Before he can act, Milton collapses, uncertain whether he is in danger or not.
The stranger, named Fishcake by Milton after he devours all of his fish and fishcakes, turns out to be more than he seems—he’s a being from another world, with no memory of how he arrived. As Milton attempts to help him return home, the two grow close, discovering a deep, undeniable connection. Yet, as Fishcake’s time on Earth nears its end, they must confront their deepest fears and traumas in order to stay together. Torn between love and fate, they must decide whether to part ways or challenge destiny itself.
