I can understand why she's so naive, she's just a child, her education stopped at age of 9, and everyone has mistreated her and condemned her as if the sins of her parents are her own. She deserves some slack. She probably cant even properly run away because she's so ignorant and clueless. She has no idea how to protect herself out there or survive. The palace may be hell, but at least it's a familiar hell
