Ryo quits his job after his girlfriend tricks him into joining a pyramid scheme. When he doesn't hear back from her, he decides to visit her out of concern. But when he gets there, gangsters are waiting by her door. It turns out that she stole money from them, and now they think Ryo's her accomplice. What a disaster! Just when Ryo thinks he's done for, Miyoshi Yuusei, their gang leader as well as his old classmate, lies and calls him his "boyfriend" to cover for him. After successfully making it out of there in one piece, the two decide live together as "pretend-lovers" until the heat dies down. Ryo assumed they got along well back in school, but now for some reason... Yuusei's giving him the cold shoulder?
